The Pointer is a country pub, restaurant and butchers that serves fantastic, simple, seasonal and thoroughly delicious food and drink to all who cross its threshold.
Situated at the centre of the village of Brill in Buckinghamshire, we are open every day of the week, serving lunch and dinner from Tuesday through to Sunday afternoons. The butchers and delicatessen, where you can buy our meat, charcuterie and freshly baked bread, currently opens on Wednesday and Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings.
Our attitude to food is pretty straightforward: we cook what is best on the day, using the seasonal produce we either grow ourselves in our kitchen garden or obtain from local markets and suppliers. All our meat comes from our own livestock herds and neighbouring farms, and if from further afield, from farmers who genuinely believe in good food that you can actually taste. Take a look at our sample menu for a idea of what you might find.
The Pointer prides itself on being a real village pub at the very heart of the community it serves: a centre for the village, a centre for the local area and a place that welcomes people from far and wide. We’re easily accessible, have plenty of parking and beautiful gardens leading out to some lovely walks.
You’ll find us by the village green, next to All Saints Church. Families and children are very welcome. Come and enjoy some proper English hospitality.
